| Susanna was the second daughter of Sir
George Nares. In December 1799 she married Charles
Masterman Henning, who came from a Dorset family, and they had a son,
Edward, and
a daughter, Sophia. She died on Christmas Day in 1818, and the
plaque below in her memory is in the south cloister of Wells Cathedral.
