Musician, Composer and Teacher.
|
Susan studied flute at Trinity College of Music, and after getting her degree went to Iceland to start a music school for their government. On returning to England after two years, she started working as a peripatetic teacher, which she has done in one form or another ever since. On top of her demanding teaching timetable she experiences bouts of compulsive composition fever, and we are hoping that in the near future she will be able to devote more time to this than she has been able to do so far. She also plays whistles, piano and ethnic percussion and recently fulfilled a life-long ambition with the acquisition of a folk harp. As well as wanting to put more time into her composition and performing, she has a deep commitment to the exploration of the healing powers of music which she wants to develop. She is a core member of Music & the Psyche and co-organizer of their bi-annual conferences.
