Deva Music,  Susan Nares and Maxwell Steer (MP B01)  This recording was the brainchild of Maxwell Steer, who wanted to create a piece of music for meditation purposes.  He and Susan worked together, building up layer after layer of vocal drones to produce a sustained sweeping and surging D major chord which carries the listener along without distraction in a safe and harmonious field of sound.  Listeners have found it extremely effective and inspiring.  There are four versions of the twenty minute piece available on cassette, (or three versions on CD).

Rainbow Healing Peace,  Frank Perry with Stargate (BEL CD 009)  When Susan first became interested in overtone singing, she joined a group whose number included Frank Perry and Bill Martin.  One evening we arranged to go out to Hurst Castle at the end of the day and were left there until the work boat came to fetch us at 11 o'clock!  We recorded several pieces which we kept for some years before deciding what to do with them!  This year Frank and Susan had the urge to complete the project, and we recorded some new pieces using instruments from his vast collection and made use of some other old recordings of Frank's which had not been released before.  These were used to intersperse the track's by Stargate, (the overtone choir), and the CD has had very flattering reviews.  More information about this CD and his other recordings can be found on Frank's website, or the Musicalfresco pages on this site.
Favourites,  Coleman's Favourite (MAF CD 002)  Susan played with Coleman's Favourite from 1995 till the summer of '99, and they recorded this album in 1997.  They were a five-piece folk band, (2 guitars, fiddle, whistles and bass), and played regularly is several local pubs as well as at one-off events.  Their repertoire was mainly of celtic origin, complemented by a broad spectrum of other styles.  When the band split up, four members reformed under the name of Drombeg, and they are working on material for a new album.
Steps on Water (MP B07) is one of Susan's compositions which was recorded at its first performance in a concert, predominantly of pieces by Maxwell Steer, at Pyt House, near Tisbury.  Maxwell Steer accompanies her on the piano.  The CD also has three of Maxwell's instrumental pieces and Bach's Flute Sonata in B minor.
Flute album  Susan has long had a dream to make an album of her flute pieces, and this is finally coming closer to being realized.  Several pieces are ready for recording, and during the year 2000 it will all come together, so watch this space!
