John McCance lived at Farmhill in Dunmurry.  He was the second son of John McCance, and was born in 1744.  He married Jane Charley (1744-1818) daughter of John Charley (1711-1793) and Jane Ussher (1715-1781), of the Seymour Hill Charley family.  They had two children, Mary and John (1772).
