The only son of David McCance of whom we have any knowledge, he was born in 1711.  He stayed in the Dunmurry area and his wife was called Rachel (1708-1753).  They had four children.  David (1738), Mary (1743), John (1744) and William (1746).  After Rachel died, he married Easter (c1719-1779). He died 7 Apr 1786 and all three are buried at Drumbeg Parish Church.
