David McCance (1684-1747)

David McCance appears to be the first of the McCances to move into the Dunmurry area in Co Antrim.  He held leases in Mulliganstown, which is believed to be a townland name for an area near Woodbourne, but which is now no longer in use.  He had at least one son, John, who succeeded him in the area.  He died 22 May 1747 and is buried at Drumbeg Parish Church.  At present that is all we know about him, except that his wife's name was Isabella (c1669-1724).
