Owen "Ives" Nares (1890-?)

The second son of Ramsay Nares, born on 4 Sept 1890, he was educated at Marlborough.  He appears to have served in the army, like his younger brother, but he did not make a career of it.  He ran a chicken farm with a friend, Alan Thompson, but that is the only occupation we know about.  He never married, and in fact went to live with his mother, following the death of his father, in order to take care of her. He joined the Home Guard during the Second World War and stayed with his older brother's family at Finchampstead in Surrey.  After his mother died he went to live with his friends and partners, the Thompsons, where he stayed for the rest of his life.
