Third daughter of Sir George Strong Nares, she was christened on 1st Mar 1865 in Southampton.
She married Rev Frederick William Pelly in 1884 and had three children, Vera, Reginald and Rachel.We don't know what became of Frederick Pelly, but in Jan 1901 she married Louis Henry Shadbolt (1854-1939), a solicitor from Middlesex, and had another daughter, Ruth Alice (1901-?).
